Stephanie Zapolski

Stephanie is the dual owner of Cheshire Dental Centre as well as being our resident dental hygienist/therapist. Stephanie embarked upon her career as a qualified dental nurse, which opened the doorway to other career options within the dental field. Stephanie took the pathway to hygiene and therapy after gaining her dimploma in hygiene and therapy in 2008, then choosing to carry out her clinical placement in Crewe.
From then, she focussed on her ambition for opening her own practice. Stephanie became the owner of Cheshire Dental Centre in 2010 and began her partnership with Dr. Bijan Barfaraz in 2015. Since then she has taken the practice from strength to strength, offering a wide range of cosmetic treatments alongside routine dentistry.

Dr. Bijan Barfaraz
Principal Dentist | Owner
Bijan joined the team at Cheshire Dental Centre in November 2015 as an associate dental surgeon and is now the joint owner here. Bijan graduated as a General Dental Practitioner and has gained his PhD in Pediatric Dentistry, alongside a PG in Endodontics at Chester University, a PG in Implantology at Leipzig University, which he now specialises in. After 4 years in Dubai, Bijan focused upon his aesthetic dentistry with smile makeovers and full-mouth restorations including veneers and crowns.
Helen Edwards
Practice Manager
Helen is a dedicated and accomplished dental professional whose career began in dental nursing in Stoke-on-Trent. With a lifetime of experience in the industry, she now excels as the Practice Manager at Cheshire Dental Centre, a position she has held since September 2023. Helen thrives on the daily challenges her role presents, finding them manageable and rewarding thanks to her exceptional team.
Dr. Maz Aleem
Dentist
Dr. Maz Aleem joined Cheshire Dental in September 2023 and is now continuing to finish the foundation year. He gained his BDS at Plymouth University, September 2018-2023. Maz specialises in NHS patients and is looking forward to the next step in his career. He enjoys the friendly and calm atmosphere and is very enthusiastic to help the team.
Dr. Danielle Smyth
Associate Dentist
Danielle joined the team at Cheshire Dental Centre in June 2022 after 8 years of working in general practice in Stockport. Danielle gained her BDS from King’s College London in 2014, where she graduated with a special award for her outstanding performance in Oral Medicine examinations. In her spare time, Danielle loves to ski and enjoys hikes with her family and walking with her dog.
Charlotte Horton
Hygeinist
Charlotte joined the practice in March 2020 and works one day a week. Charlotte qualified in 2015 from Bristol University, obtaining her Diploma in dental hygiene, and then qualifying in acupuncture and whitening. Charlotte is a keen promoter of oral health and will talk you through all the best methods to keep your gums and teeth healthy. In her spare time, charlotte enjoys reading, yoga and crocheting.
Danielle Tilley
Receptionist & Care Co-Ordinator
Danielle started at Cheshire Dental Centre in December 2021. She enjoys building rapport with patients and working with a great team. in her spare time, Danielle enjoys spending time with her family and being near the coast.
Chelsy Gent
Qualified Dental Nurse
Chelsy started her apprenticeship at Cheshire Dental Centre in May 2021, she continues to grow her knowledge of dentistry. Chelsy enjoys working with the team and supporting team members. In her spare time, she enjoys expanding her culinary skills.
Ellie Fildes
Qualified Dental Nurse
Ellie started at Cheshire Dental Centre with an apprenticeship in September 2020, and has since completed her NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing. Ellie has been working alongside principal dentist Dr. Bijan Barfaraz specialising in implants. Ellie is also involved in the creative and management for the Social Media of Cheshire Dental Centre. In her spare time Ellie enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Olivia Baran
Trainee Dental Nurse
Olivia started her apprenticeship at Cheshire Dental Centre in August 2023 and continues to enjoy learning new skills. Olivia has become an integral member of the team, demonstrating her quick adoption and understanding of dentistry. Olivia enjoys working alongside Dr Danielle Smyth, carrying out cosmetic treatments. In her spare time Olivia enjoys being anywhere the sun is with her dog Toby.
